This page contains miscellaneous media not used in the Otherside for one reason or another. This includes beta designs for characters and rooms, scrapped concepts, color pallettes, and various trivia about the making of this "experience". As a warning, this page may contain spoilers for places you have not visited yet, although it will not spoil any places you cannot visit yet. It is reccomended to read up to the latest page before proceeding.

The Lab

• This area doesn't have much scrapped content... because I didn't do any planning ahead at all.
• Believe it or not, the Otherside was originally intended to be a roblox game. That idea didn't last very long, but I came up with the idea of an open-ish world where you use doors to travel to other dimensions, as well as ▮▮▮▮▮▮ ▮▮▮▮!
• I'll figure out a lore reason for the earth getting rended in two later... totally.
• I came up with S.D. Dammerung's name on the spot... and then only after looking it up did I realize it actually fit the narrative well. I'm not complaining!

(8/4/2023) Blank template for a room in the lab. This was the second ever media I made for the Otherside, the first being a crude graph paper map of the first 4 rooms... which I lost.

Crimson Forest

• This chapter was/will be (depending on if you're from the future) inspired by The Binding of Isaac and In Stars and Time (I like games with long names and gay people...). Namely, the characters, plot, and color pallette took influence from both. I also tried to emulate the feel of 2000s RPGmaker games (y'know, OFF and its kin).
• I accidentally made the Martyr while trying to design a Fiend Folio monster. In case you can't tell, I didn't succeed.
• Josh from Sides is not canon, no matter what they try to tell you.

(12/7/2023) A drawing of the flesh panopticon. The colors later inspired the Crimson Forest.

(4/11/2024) A draft of "Somewhere, For Once". I had to redraw it to resize it... You don't get it, it HAS to be 666x666 pixels!
